Anachronism.

My smile crumbles into ash
My bright words are no more than the blackest ink
Be a constant presence from the past
Be more for me than, yes, a reflection

I will crawl under the weight of the dawn
And stretch my limbs to reach for you
I hardly dare to hope you will not fade
And leave my windows shaded black and white
